Who you choose to tutor your son will affect your gameplay decisions hours later when you now rule as that son. The best part is you don’t 100% control the traits, strengths and weakness you and your line will have, it’s like life - it’s still random chance. It’s more of a “royal lineage RPG” than a true strategy game, which I loved. This is a game that I could play indefinitely forever. Simultaneously a love letter to Fez, The Witness, 2D Zelda and the 16-bit era in general. Went in expecting cutesy indie Zelda and walked out with one of the best “Metroid-brainia” experiences I’ve ever had. Was late to this series but this game has aged so well and I couldn’t put it down start to finish. I loved the campaign and the multiplayer and the weapon sandbox/gameplay feel is my favorite in the series.
